- the locations -

When scheduling your photo shoot, how important is location?

It's important... but less important than you think it is. While your location certainly plays a role in your photo shoot, it should never be the focus. The people, relationships, and memories are far more important than the background, and that will show in your RWP photos.

Also keep in mind that location is not the ONLY important thing to consider when scheduling. For MOST locations, time of year is pretty critical when it comes to getting you the best photos.

  • Good news for those wanting a more urban vibe... those spots are typically awesome year-round!
  • For the nature lovers, you're going to want to get that shoot on the calendar in the spring, summer, or early fall.

When thinking about location options ahead of your shoot, pay attention to the backgrounds that are in the photos you want to replicate.

  • If it's the green grass and trees you love, aim for a spring or summer shoot.
  • If you'd prefer tall brown grasses or changing leaves, those are at their peak in the fall.*

Decide your vibe, and let Robin take care of the rest.

*Keep in mind that all fall shoots following Daylight Saving Time start at 4pm. If a 4pm shoot won't work with your schedule, consider scheduling in the spring or summer, or reach out to Robin for Sunday morning shoot options.
